Dave teaches Satyananda yoga which enables you to bring your awareness inwards
Dave is a very experienced teacher and can teach as gentle as you would like on this retreat. Or if you prefer, Dave can also give you more challenging practices.

He believes in the importance of including meditative awareness into the physical practice and utilises awareness of breath, to help bring us into the present moment.
Some of his classes can start from small micro-movements with awareness, coordinating with the breath, and gradually evolve into bigger global movements, allowing a sense of flow, and effortless ease, that encourages each person to adapt to their own body & ability.
There is a meditation class in the morning and evening each day, and one of the benefits of our week-long retreats is that you can then take these practices home with you.

Organised ‘Outdoors in the Burren’ on all of our retreats.

The Burren Yoga Retreat is located at the foot of the Burren hills nestled amongst the hazel trees.
You are surrounded by a vast choice of special places in the Burren where we go for hill walks, Nature Trail walks, walks by the sea, and beautiful beaches and forests to explore.
There are optional activities such as sea swimming, or swimming in our nearby lake which heats up during the summer.
Flexible full daily timetable
All our classes, outings and meals are optional, so you are free to join all or some as you please during the week.
However, over 95% of people relish the freedom of not having to decide or choose what to do each day, and go with the full programme which is a well-tried recipe which we have been running and improving on since 1999.
We are famous for our food and so many people have said they would come back time and time again just for the amazing vegetarian food. Our chef will prepare all our vegetarian meals with organic and locally sourced vegetables and the finest ingredients.

This retreat is suitable for complete beginners to intermediate.
Dave will give more gentle variations to anybody who needs it, and will also challenge those who are ready for it.
